I only have the picture of the ice cream it is made. Now that I am writing the blog I will try to take pictures during the process.
I have wanted an ice cream maker for years, just to be able to make orange crush ice cream. My dad has made it since I was little and I can eat it until my belly hurts! My best friend Katie asked me what I would like for a wedding gift and I told her that my favorite thing on our registry was the ice cream maker attachment for my Kitchen Aid Mixer. I have made ice cream 4 times since I have been home. The first was a bust. I put the peanut butter ice cream mixer in the attachment while it was still warm and since the attachment has to be frozen first it didn't work. I tried to turn the mixer onto a faster speed and ended up with frozen peanut butter whip cream/butter. It was actually good, but not what I was going for.
The second time around I made orange crush ice cream and it was perfect. Jeffrey won't eat sweets so I had to eat it by myself, which was not a problem. I made a lemon ice cream the other day. It was ok, but almost too sweet for me. So today I made another batch of orange crush because it is soo good! It is very easy too!!!
This recipe was altered slightly to fit my Kitchen Aid mixer attachment.
Almost a liter of Orange Crush Soda
1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Can Evaporated Milk
1 small can of crushed Pineapple
-If you have a kitchen aid mixer attachment refrigerate the ingredients first.
-Mix the milks and pineapple together in a bowl.
-Put the milk mixture into your ice cream make and turn the maker on
-Slowly add the Orange Soda until you are almost to the top. Leave some room because the mixture will expand.
-My maker only takes 30 mins.
