I know the Holiday's are over and we are all regretting the extra sweets we couldn't resist, but just in case you get a craving for something sweet here is an EASY recipe for fudge.
Before I left for the Holiday's, my friend Katherine from my BSF group gave me this recipe for fudge. I had never made fudge before and I thought it sounded difficult, but this recipe was a cinch. I made two batches, one with nuts and one without. My first batch wasn't as pretty, but it still tasted good, I love nuts!
1 One-Pound box of Powdered Sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
6 Tbsp Butter
1 tsp Vanilla
1/4 cup Milk
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Toast and chop pecans in a pan on 350 for about 10 minutes.
Melt butter in double boiler, add milk, vanilla and salt stir
Slowly add cocoa and sugar while stirring until smooth.
Stir in pecans.
Transfer into a pan and let cool.
We put the nut fudge on one side of the pan and the plain one of the other side. The first batch I made wasn't as smooth because I put all the ingredients in at once instead of letting the butter melt first, then adding the ingredients.
