Tasty New Grill Sauce, An OK Pasta and Crazy Heart

Tonight we went to see Crazy Heart, the new movie with Jeff Bridges. It is up for a lot of Oscar nominations and Jeffrey and I are trying to see most of the Oscar movies before the awards show. I loved the movie, Jeffrey thought it was just OK.. BUT the theater we went to is called the Vista and is around the corner from us. It was such a fun theater with an Egyptian Palace theme. It opened in 1923 and was so NEAT! Here are pictures of the theater then and now.

I have turned my husband into a Foodie! Last night I was making this new pasta and he came in to see what I was cooking and said "hey are you making my favorite pasta?" I wasn't, but guess what his favorite pasta is...My Goat Cheese and Sun dried Tomato Pasta! How many of your husbands would say that their favorite Pasta has goat cheese and sundried tomatoes?? He cracks me up and I LOVE him!! This pasta I made was just okay. I ate it, but I probably won't make it again. That doesn't mean it won't become one of your favorites though, check out the ingredients and see if you are willing to try it.

Peanut Grill Sauce
2 Tb Butter
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 Tb Peanut Butter
1/2 Lemon juiced

In a small saucepan melt ingredients and mix together. Simmer on low for 1 minute.

When grilling chicken, brush peanut grill sauce on both sides of chicken.

I loved this sauce! It really jazzed up the plain ol' grilled chicken.

Pasta with Zucchini, Feta and Mint
1/2 box Penne or Bow tie Pasta
2 Zucchinis
1/3 cup Feta
1/2 cup torn fresh mint leaves
4 Tb Balsamic Vinegar
4 Tb Olive Oil
1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (Sorry chili powder is in this picture instead, it is the same bottle as my red pepper flakes)

Boil and Drain Pasta

Slice Zucchini lengthwise into quarters

In a bowl coat zucchini, 1 Tb olive oil and 1/4 tsp salt

Grill Zucchini for about 5 minutes on each side.

Take off grill and cut into small even chunks

In a bowl mix zucchini, vinegar and mint, then mix in pasta, zucchini mix, feta and red pepper flakes.

Like I said this pasta was good, but not my favorite, try it out and see what you think!

Early Valentine's presents! Mommasita sent me a very fun raincoat in the mail. Now I will be ready for rain! See how cute...Thank You Mommasita!! XOXO
