These are my two new obsessions, you must go buy them!
Obsession number one: White Truffle Oil
Every time I am at a fancy restaurant I look for the dish that includes truffles. On our honeymoon one of the meals we had was a lobster dish with truffle oil. I practically licked the plate it was so yummy!
I kept putting off buying the oil because it can be expensive. I was pleasantly surprise when it was only $15. Just put a little of this stuff in any creamy, cheesy or pasta dish and it will kick it up a notch.
I made my risotto the other night and added mushrooms and truffle oil, it was fantastic! I also used some oil on my homemade pizza!
Obsession number two: Lipton Cold Brew Iced Tea
I don't know about you but I have never been able to make a good Iced Tea. I even have one of those Iced Tea brewers and it isn't quite right. When we were staying with Jeffrey's cousin's Tim and Melissa over Easter she had this amazing tea in her fridge. I said "Mel you must teach me how to make this tea!" To my surprise it was so easy, ready in 5 minutes! Here are the instructions.
I use 3 pitcher sized tea bags per pitcher.
Put tea bags into pitcher and fill pitcher with cold water.
Put in the fridge for about 5 minutes.
Take out tea bags.
Here is the essential item needed to make good sweet tea... Sweet n Low! I don't care what anyone says, the pink stuff works best in tea. I bought Sweet n Low in bulk so that I didn't have to open packets. I use 4 teaspoons. Stir and taste to see if you need more.
Yum! Jeffrey and I have been drinking this every since we got back! Thank you Mel!
