Frozen Hot Chocolate, and Heart Breakers Part 2

While in college, I visited New York and we went to the famous cafe, Serendipity. They are most famous for their Frozen Hot Chocolate dessert. I bought the cook book while I was there and have made them once or twice since. I decided this would be the perfect dessert for our Heart breakers party. They were just as good as I remembered. Make them for your sweetie on Valentines Day!

Frozen Hot Chocolate with Homemade Whip Cream

Homemade Whip Cream
1 cup whipping cream, COLD
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 Tablespoons light corn syrup

Whip together cream and vanilla in a stand mixer on high for about 5 mins., or until stiff peaks form.

Slow mixer down to medium low. Slowly mix corn syrup into whip cream. Put into fridge until ready.

Frozen Hot Chocolate (makes 2)
6 oz of your favorite chocolate, I love Dove Milk Chocolates!
2 teaspoons hot chocolate mix
1 1/2 Tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
3 cups ice
chocolate shavings

In a double boiler (I don't have one) slowly melt chocolates until smooth.
Stir in hot coco mix and sugar. Stir until blended and remove from heat.
 Whip milk into chocolate mix.

 Stir until blended.
Blend chocolate mix and ice together until smooth.
Spoon into pretty glasses! (I made this recipe time 1 1/3 so it would make enough for 3 glasses)
Top with homemade whip cream and shave or grate chocolate over the top.
 So pretty!!
Toast to my favorite Valentines!
Em and Meg loving their drink.
My table of crafts. We made homemade Valentines cards for our hubbies.
Our cards: Meg's, Em's and mine...it was so fun (even though mine is kinda tacky, haha!)
