Deep Dish Ravioli

I have the next two days off! It is supposed to be warm and sunny! I am really hoping to get to the beach! My bestie, Katie Wheeler, is getting married in 2 weeks and I would love to have a little tan in my bridesmaid dress. It is a beautiful dress in a gorgeous pink! No, I am not just saying that because Katie reads my blog...haha! She did an awesome job picking out the dresses...at least in my opinion. Can't wait to get out of town and be back in Texas for a little bit.

Yes this tastes just as good as it looks! It is an easier way of making lasagna.

Deep Dish Ravioli

1/2 pound ground turkey
1/2 onion
1 garlic clove
1/2 jar marinara sauce
2 large balls of fresh marinara
fresh grated parmesan
8 frozen raviolis
1/4 cup fresh basil
Cook diced onion and ground turkey in skillet.
Once turkey is cooked through, add minced garlic and cook for one more min.
Add marinara sauce and heat through.
NOT Pictured....Boil water and add raviolis. Cook for about 3 minutes or until they begin to float. Drain and set aside.
Chop basil.
Add basil to sauce and remove from heat.
Grease a glass loaf pan. Add 1/3 of meat sauce to bottom.
Top with 3 raviolis.
Slice mozzarella into thin slices.
Top raviolis with mozzarella and about 2 Tbsp parmesan.
Layer with another 3rd of the meat sauce. Top with 5 Raviolis.
Layer the last 3rd of meat sauce.
Top with sliced mozzarella and about 1/4 cup of Parmesan.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 18 mins. Then move to broiler and brown the top for about 3-5 mins.
Sooo Cheesy!
A little difficult to serve, but very tasty!
