Linguine in Creamy Clam Sauce

J's BIG gift from Mommasita and Pinkie! Jeffrey got this poster from his best friend for a wedding present, but we just couldn't afford to get it framed. Thanks to his parents it is now in it's rightful place! He was totally surprised when he walked in this morning from being on set all night and saw it hanging. I LOVE surprises! Hopefully we will get to celebrate with dinner and a movie tonight (he may bee too tired after working all night). If not tonight, we will tomorrow!

I made a pasta with clam sauce a while back, but it was more of a tomato based sauce. This was easy and incredible! I will be making it again.

Linguine in Creamy Clam Sauce
1/2 pound linguine
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp butter
2 cloves of garlic
1 can minced clams
1/4 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper
parmesan 
Boil water and cook pasta.
Mince garlic
Reserve from clams. (I accidently bought whole clams and had to chop them)

Add olive oil, butter and garlic to pan. Cook until fragrant.
Add clam juice to pan and simmer until reduced by half.
Add cream and clams to pan.

Season with salt and pepper.
Drain pasta.
Add pasta to sauce.
Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
