Nutella Ice Cream

This is my new favorite dessert. Of course it is ice cream. I could live on ice cream! Protein Boy, who doesn't give in to many desserts, as he is so healthy and all, was addicted to this ice cream! I kept going into the kitchen and he would be eating away. The best part about this ice cream is it is sooo easy, no cooking required. The only problem for me is it was sooo hot last week and we had already eaten one batch, so I was trying to make another to cool off. I put it in my Kitchen aid ice cream attachment and the frozen bowl melted before it made! I had to wait a whole day for the bowl to refreeze, then I fit my whole Kitchen aid mixer in my fridge to keep it cool while making the ice cream, haha! I tried to take a picture of this contraption but my camera was out of battery.

Nutella Ice Cream
2/3 cup nutella
2/3 cup sugar
1 heavy cream
2 cups milk
2 Tbsp vodka
Either with your electric mixer or with electric beaters, mix all ingredients together. It is ok if the mixture is speckled with nutella, unless you really want to heat the mixture to smooth it out, you can't get the speckles to completely mix in. The other bad part about heating it, is you have to wait another few hours for it to cool off!
I had to put a towel over the mixer so it wouldn't splatter everywhere.
YUM! This is already good, don't eat too much now, it is better later! Side note, you cannot taste the vodka, I have decided it is there to help the texture to remain creamy instead of freezing too hard.
Put in your ice cream maker and churn for about 20-30 minutes or until ready.
Don't be too upset if it isn't setting very solid. I had to put mine in the freezer for another few hours to get it to the ice cream consistency.
I had some leftover Marsala Soaked Strawberries that I topped it with, but it is certainly just as yummy on its own!
