Ginger Wrapped Shrimp

Oh man, hubby is gone and I am watching America's Most Wanted...and it is dark! I try my hardest to not get stuck watching these types of shows because once I start, I can't stop. Then I am terrified and have nightmares. One of the episodes was showing a gang shooting near where I get on the highway to go to work..."bad Shelbi, must stop watching, must stop watching.....ahhhh"

This post was ready before we went to out of town for the holidays. It would be a great appetizer for your Super Bowl party.

Ginger Shrimp Wrapped in Bacon
1/2 pound shrimp
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tsp freshly grated ginger
2 Tbsp brown sugar
Peel shrimp, leaving on the tails.
Grate ginger.
Stir together soy sauce, brown sugar and ginger.
Wrap shrimp with bacon (you may only need 1/2 a slice of bacon per shrimp.)
Dip shrimp in sauce.
Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake on 425 for 10 minutes.

I served it with Jasmine Rice and asparugus.

I do not often share my faith with you on this blog and with the New Year, I am starting a new resolution to include more of it into my posts. This year's BSF study is on Acts. I feel like each week I there has been a verse that has stood out and encouraged me. I think this is a good place for me to record that so I can share it with you as well as keep a journal for myself. From this week's study on Acts 16, here is the verse that stood out to me:
Isaiah 30:21
"Whether you turn to the right or to the left , you ears will hear a voice behind you saying, 'This is the way; walk in it."
Hopefully I can make this weekly resolution last! There are so many riches in the word that I know it will not be because a verse didn't inspire me that week, but because of my laziness.
