Strawberry Reisling Slushies

I have been sick with a migraine since Monday night. I was so sick yesterday that I even had to miss BSF which I hated to do! My sweet husband took good care of me and got me some chicken soup for dinner. I am feeling better today, but not 100%. I am hoping tomorrow will be a better day!

I found this recipe on Pinterest for our Valentine party. I was surprised at how delicious it was. Very refreshing, crisp and light! If you are planning to make this drink, it needs to be prepped the night before as the mixture needs to freeze before blending again. Luckly I read the recipe before going home from Emily's the night before and we were able to prepare it quickly.

Strawberry Reisling Slushies
1 bottle of Riesling
Juice of 1 Lime
2 cups frozen strawberries
2 Tbsp sugar
Reserve 1 cup of wine. In a blender, add remaining wine, lime juice, sugar and strawberries.

Blend until smooth.

Pour into ice cubes or muffin tins.
Freeze until solid.
Once frozen, blend with reserved 1 cup of wine.
