Remember a few months ago when I made Apricot Pistachio Rolls? Those were good, but these were better! I got the idea on pinterest for nutella cinnamon rolls, so I decided to make them using my easier route---pre-made pizza dough. These were incredible! I ate on them for days afterward.
Nutella Banana Cinnamon Rolls
1/2 cup nutella
1/2 stick butter, plus 1 tbsp
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup flour
4 Tbsp powdered sugar
1 tbsp milk
Melt 1/2 stick of butter.
Slice banana think and diagonally so that you will have bigger pieces.
Stir nutella into melted butter.
Sprinkle some flour on a table and then use a rolling pin to roll dough into a long rectangle.
Pizza dough can be difficult to work with. Try to get your dough to be a uniform thickness. I didn't do this and wish I would have.
Drizzle nutella on dough and spread out, leaving 1 inch around the edges.
Place bananas on dough spreading them out evenly.
Sprinkle cinnamon evenly on top.
Roll dough horizontally. Make sure it is tight as you roll it up.
Slice across the roll, 1 inch discs.
Place the rolls in a greased baking dish.Cover the pan with a towel and allow the rolls to rise for 25 minutes in a warm spot.
Melt remaining 1 tbsp of butter for icing.
Stir in milk and powdered sugar.
You can add more or less powdered sugar until you get to desired consistency.
Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes on 375.
Remove from oven.
Drizzle with icing and serve.
