Strawberry Bruschetta

I found this appetizer on Pinterest and it was from one of the bloggers that I already follow, Annie's Eats. I made it for the 3Bs and we all LOVED it! We decided it is the perfect girlie appetizer, like for a wedding shower or baby shower. I can't wait to make it again soon.

Strawberry Bruschetta
2 cups strawberries
1 Tbsp sugar
1 skinny baguette
~3 Tbsp goat chese
1/4 cup basil
Olive Oil
balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper

I saw this trick to use a straw for hulling strawberries on Pinterest and didn't believe it would work, but it does!
Chop strawberries.
Sprinkle sugar in strawberries and allow them to sit for about 1 hour.

Slice basil thin.
I didn't take a photo of this, but slice bread diagonally then place in oven on 350 for about 10 minutes to toast. Remove and spread a thin later of goat cheese on each toast.
Top the toast with strawberries.
Top with basil. Drizzle on a little olive oil and balsamic (about 1/2 tsp per toast). Then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Serve immediately.
