Chipotle Salsa

J loves to snack, chips and salsa is an easy snack to make him. I have been making 'this' salsa recipe from Pioneer Woman for years. A few weeks ago I decided to try a new salsa recipe using chipotle peppers in adobe sauce instead of jalapenos. It was a hit! It is smokey and sweet, while still being spicy, YUM. I was in charge of bringing salsa to a Labor Day party we went to on Sunday and I brought this, everyone loved it!

Chipotle Salsa
1 can of diced tomatoes (14 oz or 20 ounce if not using fresh tomato)
1 fresh tomato (optional)
Juice of 1 lime
1/4 red onion
4 chipotle peppers in adobe sauce
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
1 tsp kosher salt
I have a mini food processor so I blend this is 2 batches. I used cilantro even though it isn't pictured. I added it later because for me, salsa isn't salsa without cilantro! You can see if you want it or not.
I hope you like it!
