Pumpkin Pizza with Crispy Sage

We had our 3rd annual 3Bs baking day yesterday. It was a blast as usual. I will be posting all about it this weekend! Until then here is a great recipe for Pumpkin pizza! As you know pizza is my favorite food!

Pumpkin Pizza with Crispy Sage
Pizza dough
1 cup pumpkin
sprinkle of nutmeg
salt and pepper
1/4 onion, sliced
1 Tbsp. butter
1 cup gouda cheese
1/4 cup parmesan
1/4 cup oil (not shown)
15 sage leaves
Preheat oven to 500. Place cast iron skillet in oven so that it heats up.
 Slice onion.
Heat butter in saute pan, add onion and cook on low until caramelized.
Grate gouda cheese and parmesan cheese.
Heat oil in small saucepan. Add a few leaves at a time to oil and cook for 10-20 seconds.
Remove and drain on a paper towel. Season with salt.

Add pumpkin, caramelized onions, nutmeg and salt and pepper to a mixing bowl. Mix well.

Remove skillet from oven. Brush the bottom of the skillet with olive oil and sprinkle a little corn meal in the pan.
Add pizza dough to the skillet. Place in the oven for 4 minutes.
 Remove skillet from oven.
 Spread crust with pumpkin mixture.
Top with cheese and crispy sage. Cook for 13-15 minutes.
 Remove from oven.
Slide pizza onto a cutting board. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
