Alouette Chicken

I am having a blast in Texas this week! I was brought here to do the makeup and hair for a very good friend of mine who is completing in the Miss Teen Texas Pageant. We have a full schedule and so far everything is going well. We are in Allen, Texas and there is LOTS of shopping and restaurants here to visit in our down time! Here are a few pictures from the past few days.

Maddie and I on the way to the arrival ceremony.
We had a 5:30 AM call for hair and makeup. It was rough, but she didn't look it!

Tomorrow begins the official competition preliminaries. First up for Maddie is evening gown! More pictures to come...

Here is an easy chicken dish that will make a huge impact at a dinner party. It is beautiful and your guests will be impressed!

Alouette Chicken

Frozen Puff Pastry
1 egg
4 chicken tenders
garlic and spice alouette cheese
salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 400.
Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Roll out puff pastry.
Cut into quarters.
Spread each quarter with 1 Tbsp. alouette cheese.
Top with chicken tenders. Wrap pastry around chicken into a bundle. Trim off extra pastry and set aside. Beat egg with 1 Tbsp of water and use egg wash to seal the bundles.
Use extra pastry to create designs for decorating your chicken bundles. Brush with egg wash.
Bake for 25 minutes.
