Balsamic Strawberries

I was in Portland this weekend for my CAbi training, where we were introduced to the new Fall line. It is beautiful! I have spent the past 2 days playing dress up with all the new clothes and it is my job! Now I just need to start booking my parties...oh the phone it is so intimidating!
Here are some photos from my trip.
Our first stop was at the famous VooDoo Doughnut shop. We stood in line for an hour! There is always that long of a line, day and night, crazy! My favorite was topped with oreos and drizzled with peanut butter fudge, yummy.
I made my way to the Rose Gardens. I LOVE flowers! They were gorg!

Time for the work/fun to begin!
With my upline and dear friend, Dawn! We were waiting to go into the fashion show.
Making our way into the fashion show! So exciting!
 Illuminate is this season's theme.
We were a little far away this time, but it was still fun.
Gena Davis was there! She is going to be the keynote speaker at our CAbi career events this season.
A sneek peak at some of the new clothes!
A CAbi drink to toast at successful season!
A view of the Columbia river from the tallest building in Portland.

This may be one of my fastest, easiest recipes on the blog! For those of you who are way to hot to cook it is perfect for a summer treat.

Baslamic Strawberries with Strawberry Sorbet
1 pound strawberries, quartered
1 1/2 tablespoons good quality balsamic vinegar
1/2 Tbsp sugar
pinch fresh ground cracked pepper
Strawberry Sorbet

Stir together vinegar with sugar and pepper then pour into the strawberries. Allow them to stand at room temp for 30 minutes.
Scoop out Strawberry sorbet and then pour over balsamic strawberries.
