Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with Strawberries and Grand Marnier

The second half of our holiday was spent with Jeffrey's family in Fort Worth. It began the same way it did last year, with Jeffrey getting the flu! Luckily after a doctor's visit, Tamiflu for both of us, and one night staying in a hotel for him, he was better. We will be getting the flu shot next year!
Much of our time was spent excitedly discussing the coming arrival of our sweet cousin Melissa's baby girl, due in a few weeks! We held her baby shower while there, which was so special!

All of the girls!
We had to take our annual Christmas photos. Believe me, it takes a LOT to get everyone to smile and show up for these pictures. Don't let the smiles fool you, not everyone is happy to take them, but we are always happy to have them in the end!
The Amparan family! Logan is getting so big!
The Severson's are so excited to have baby girl Moochie in next year's pictures! (Moochie is her nickname as her real name has not been revealed to us yet!)
Love this pic of Mel and Timbo!
The Keith's in our serious photo! I think we all look Fab!
I Love this shot! We have to do something to make these pictures more fun.
Jeffrey and I in our oh so serious pic!
I love all the girls in our family so much! This is such a cute pic!
The baby girl will be the 10th member to our sorority! (Yes you only see 9 here because Jackie is missing in the pictures as she had to go home early.)
Happy to have each other!
Opening gifts!
My hubby is so cute!

Katy and I were excited to give Carol her annual homemade Christmas gift this year.
A great one of our boys!

Mellie, Katy and I making our annual dinner for the family. Some family had gone home by this night so it was easy and relaxed!

Followed by a incredible and easy dessert that my mom made for us on Christmas night:

Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with Strawberries and Grand Marnier

Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Sliced Strawberries
Grand Marnier
Small Bar of Chocolate
Scoop ice cream into a bowl or pretty glass cup! If you are having a party, you could scoop the ice cream ahead of time and place the bowls in the freezer until ready to prepare.
 Top with sliced strawberries.
Pour about 2 Tbsp of Grand Marnier over the top of the strawberries and ice cream.

Shave chocolate over the top of the strawberries.
 Serve immediately!
