I am so in love with my grill! I have been making a lot of really great recipes lately! Jeffrey and I both LOVED this one. I was inspired by a recipe I saw on Pinterest and it was delicious! I hope you will enjoy them at your next BBQ!
Black Bean Turkey Burgers with Avocado Mayo
Black Bean Burger: (this recipe make 4-6 burgers depending on size, I halved it and made 3)
1 pound of lean ground turkey
1 tsp dried onion flakes
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp taco seasoning
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp corriander
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
Sliced provolone cheese
Hamburger buns, or if you can find them, pretzel buns!
1/4 cup mayonaise
juice of 1/2 lime
pinch of salt
1 Tbsp cilantro
Seed the jalepeno and chop very fine.
Mix together spices, black beans, jalepeno and cilantro.
Mix ground turkey into black bean mix.
Form into patties.
Blend together the mayo, avocado, lime, cilantro and salt.
If your avocado isn't ripe you may need to stop and scrape the sides, blending between until smooth.
Set mayo in the fridge until ready to use.
Grill burgers for 4-5 minutes per side.
1 minute before the patties are done, place 1 slice of provolone cheese on each patty and allow it to melt before removing from heat.
Toast your buns and spread with mayo on each side.
Serve with some yummy Chili Lime Potato Wedges!
