We hosted our first party in our new place yesterday! It was so fun. We have great friends and are blessed to have a beautiful home to host them in.

Our menu was fantastic! We had these jalapeño shrimp poppers, Meg's corn dip, black bean turkey burgers, red hot BBQ beef sliders and delicious S'mores Bars!

It was a hot afternoon so the girls sat inside until the sun started going down and it was more comfortable.

These were on the menu yesterday. They are one of my favorite new foods. I have never been much of a burger person, but these have made me into one. I LOVE them, YUM!
Red Hot BBQ Sliders
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp Ancho Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 tsp liquid smoke
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1-2 chipotle peppers in adobe sauce, chopped fine
6 King's Hawaiian Rolls
6 sharp cheddar cheese slices (I like the cracker cuts because they are smaller)
Dice chipotle chili super fine.
Mix together ketchup, brown sugar, liquid smoke and diced chili.
Set aside until ready.
Mix together ancho powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika and ground beef.
Form 6 patties. I like to make them thick and then press a hole in the middle that way they will cook more evenly.
Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side.
For the last 1 minute, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty and let the cheese melt.
Toast the buns on each side.
Allow the sliders to rest for a few minutes.
Spread smokey ketchup on both sides of the buns, I like to use a lot!
